MOUNT PLEASANT - Lake Superior State sophomore Paul Davis clocked a :22.46, broke his own school record and won the men's 200-meter dash at the Jack Skoog Invitational held Friday at Central Michigan University. He finished ahead of two CMU competitors. LSSU sophomore Amanda Pieczynski also broke her own record in the women's 200-meter dash, posting a time of :27.20 and finishing fifth. Eric Ouellette placed was second in the 800-meter run (1:55.87), while Evan Williams was sixth (1:58.75) and Kevin Macomber was seventh (1:59.17). Other top finishers for the LSSU men were Dana Skytta, who tied for third in the high jump (6-3 ¼), Rick Koon, who was fourth in the long jump (21-2 ¾), Jordan Romel, who was sixth in the weight throw (49-4 ¼) and Davis, who was sixth in the 60-meter dash (:07.15). The LSSU men's 4x400-meter relay placed third. Taylor Patton was third in the women's high jump (5-3 ¾), sixth in the triple jump (33-8 ¾) and eighth in the long jump (16-3 ¼). Katie Scott finished fourth in the mile (5:14.56), while Marissa Ingle was seventh in the 800-meter run (2:31.42).
