FINDLAY, Ohio - Sophomore sprinter Paul Davis advanced to the finals of the men's 55-meter and 200-meter dashes during the first day of competition at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championships on Friday at the University of Findlay. Davis qualified seventh in the 200 with a time of :22.38 and eighth in the 55-meters with a time of :06.66. He broke his own school record in the 200. The LSSU men's track and field team was also led by Ben Tarbutton, who was ninth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:32.37. Sophomores Katie Scott and Asley Qucik placed third and seventh, respectively, in the women's 5,000-meter run. Scott posted a time of 17:56.19, while Quick finished in 18:42.58. Sophomore Amanda Pieczynski broke her own school record in the women's 200-meter dash by placing 17th in :27.00. Shelby LaBuhn also set a new 55-meter hurdles school record by clocking a :09.35 and finishing 16th.
