Battistella breaks his own 400 hurdles record

Scott places 12th in steeplechase at Hillsdale

HILLSDALE - DJ Battistella clocked a :54.00 to break his own school record in the 400-meter hurdles at the Hillsdale "Gina" Relays on Friday.

Battistella, who set his previous record of :54.45 in 2006, placed fifth in the event and was second among conference opponents.

Katie Scott finished 12th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:30.10. She was also second among GLIAC competitors.
