HILLSDALE - Lake Superior State's Dana Skytta placed first in the shot put while competing in the first five events of the men's decathlon at the Hillsdale Gina Relays.

Skytta won the decathlon portion of the shot put with a throw of 39-1. He also tied for first in the high jump by clearing 6-2.

Skytta was 10th in the 100-meter dash (:12.19) and long jump (19-6 1/4), and was 11th in the 400-meter dash (:59.56).
