ATLANTA, Geo. - Lake Superior State freshman Katie Scott placed seventh in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Georgia Tech Invitational held Saturday.

Scott clocked a time of 11:15.77, finishing less than a second off her school record time of 11:14.9. Three of the top nine finishers hailed from Division I Florida State.

Junior Adam Smith placed seventh in Section 4 of the men's 400-meter dash (:48.62) and third in Section 9 of the 200-meter dash (:22.79). Senior Ross Malatinsky was fourth in Section 6 of the men's 800-meter run (1:59.26).

Smith is currently ranked eighth nationally in Division II in the 400, while Scott is ranked 19th nationally in the steeplechase.
