SAULT STE. MARIE - The Lake Superior State men's and women's track and field teams opened their indoor seasons Saturday with the Blue-Gold Alumni Meet held at the Arbuckle Student Activity Center.

LSSU had several multiple-event winners. Complete results are posted on the side bar of the track and field web page.

The following athletes won more than one event: Katie Scott (800-meter run, mile run and 3,000-meter run); Jordan Romel (shot put and weight throw); Paul Davis (55-meter dash, 200-meter dash); Shelby Labrun (55-meter hurdles, high jump); Amanda Calhoun (shot put and weight throw); Amanda Pieczynski (55-meter dash, 200-meter dash).

Tom Thornton won the men's 3,000-meter run after participating in the Laker men's basketball game that afternoon. Alumni Anthony Pavicic and J.P. Benke won the men's mile and 800-meter run, respectively. Both athletes are LSSU school record holders.
