HOUGHTON - Six Lake Superior State runners garnered top-10 finishes at the season-opening U.P. Collegiate held Friday at Michigan Tech University.

Both LSSU squads finished second behind host MTU. Katie Scott finished second, Stephanie Riedel fourth and Ashley Quick seventh to lead the Laker women. Ben Tarbutton was eighth, Luke Allen ninth and Kevin Macomber 10th for the Laker men.

Scott finished four seconds behind MTU's Megan Drelles, who was running on her own Michigan Tech Trails course.
