East Lansing--Anthony Pavicic completed an 8K course in 26:31 and placed 58th to lead the Lakers at the Spartan Invitational Friday.

Pavicic finished 58th out of 132 to lead the Laker men. Temmate Jeff Thuss finished 67th overall in 26:54. Rounding out Lake Superior State's overall men's finishes were: 87. Justin Gretzinger, 27:31; 96. Scott Hosie, 27:42; 101. Richard Stein, 27:56; 105. Dave Partyka, 28:08; 116. Matt Fleming, 28:52; 122. Ross Matatinsky, 19:13; and Matt Merian; 29:42.

Amy Busfield was 56th overall with a 6K time of 23:51 to lead the Laker women. Jen Buerger was 58th in 23:54, followed by Dayna Cline in 86th (24:34), Brooke Brenner 94th (25.06), Jenny Klausing 95th (25:11), Jody Sauer 98th (25:11), Christina Etapa 103rd (25:39), and Kate Baker 112th (27:13).

The next meet for the Laker Cross Country team is September 26 at Ferris State University.
