Lakers compete well at nation's largest cross country meet

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Lake Superior State men's and women's cross country teams both had respectable finishes at the nation's largest cross country meet -- the Roy Griak Invitational hosted Saturday by the University of Minnesota.

The LSSU women's team finished 12th among 29 teams, while the men's squad was 24th among 52 teams. The meet, which includes races for Division I, II and III collegiate teams as well as high school runners, includes more than 1,000 competitors. Divisions II and III were combined in the Maroon race held at Les Bolstad Golf Course.
