BIG RAPIDS - The Lake Superior State men's cross country team finished seventh among 18 teams, while the Laker women were eighth among 20 teams in the 4K division of the Michigan Intercollegiate held Friday at Katke Golf Course.

Freshman Katie Scott placed sixth overall and fifth among NCAA Division II runners with a time of 14:35. She finished behind three Grand Valley State runners, and competitors from Eastern Michigan and Saginaw Valley State.

Scott Hosie was 25th in 12:36.3, and Tom Thornton was 29th in 12:41.2 to lead the Laker men's squad.
