Oct. 23, 2003 MIDLAND - Lake Superior State junior Anthony Pavicic was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's cross country runner of the week. Pavicic, who is from Sterling Heights, Mich., placed second overall and was first among collegiate runners at the Upper Peninsula Championships held last Friday. He finished the race in 15:47 to lead the Lakers to a first-place finish in the team competition. Pavicic finished behind former Laker Aaron Litzner, who won the race in 15:22. The Lakers compete in the GLIAC Championships on Saturday at Ferris State University. |
