BIG RAPIDS - Lake Superior State junior Anthony Pavicic finished in 26:08 to place 22nd overall and lead the Lakers at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Ferris State. The Laker men finished sixth in the team standings, while Grand Valley landed four runners in the top six and won the team title.

Sophomore Jen Buerger was 36th in 23:13.3 to lead the Laker women, who were 10th among 13 teams. Grand Valley also won the women's team title by placing all five runners in the top 12.
