The Lake Superior State University men's and women's Cross Country team took 6th and 11th respectively at the GLIAC conference meet held in Kensington Park near Milford, MI. All five women who competed at the meet improved on their scores from last year's meet. The women's team was lead by Senior standout Amanda Freeman, who finished in 28th with a time of 23:41. Also having a strong showing was Sophomore Amy Busfield who came in 34th with a time of 23:55. For the men's team, Senior Jeff Thuss lead the charge with a 28th place finish and a time of 26:35. Five of the seven Lakers who competed at the meet recorded personal best times for the 2002 season. Six of the Lakers were seperated by only 63 seconds. The Laker's will race their regional meet November 9 in Hudsonville, MI. at Rolling Hills Golf Course.
