Thuss, Busfield lead Lakers at NCAA Regional

ALLENDALE - The Lake Superior State men's cross country team finished 12th, and the women placed 14th at the NCAA II Great Lakes Region Championships held Saturday at Grand Valley State.

Senior Jeff Thuss was 43rd in 33:31.6 to lead the Laker men, while junior Amy Busfield was 61st in 23:50.6 to lead the women.

For the men, Wayne State's Nick Allen placed first overall in 31:29.1. Grand Valley's Natalie Ewing was first overall for the women in 21:31.3.
