UWP three-pointers make the difference at GLIAC v. GLVC Challenge

KENOSHA, Wis. - Wisconsin-Parkside made 15-of-33 three-point attempts to outlast the Lake Superior State men's basketball team 82-67 during the final game of the GLIAC v. GLVC Challenge on Saturday.

UWP's Kyle Clark was 6-of-11 from behind the arc and led all scorers with 22 points. He was one of four Parkside players in double figures.

Junior Tim VanOudheusden led LSSU (0-2) with 16 points, while freshman Micah Hudson had 15 and redshirt freshman Matt Romatz added 10. Ryan Kuhl finished with nine points and a team-high six rebounds.

UWP led 43-32 at halftime. The Rangers shot 46.7 percent from the field and made 11-of-13 free throws. LSSU shot 45.6 percent from the field, including 6-of-17 from three-point range and 9-of-14 at the foul line. The Lakers also out-rebounded UWP, 37-30.

LSSU plays Minnesota-Moorhead at 6 p.m. CT on Nov. 23 in Aberdeen, S.D.
