April 9, 2004 FINDLAY, Ohio - Senior Brad Ward and junior Frank Kucher shot identical 38-36--74s on Friday as the Lake Superior State golf team finished the first round of the Oiler Spring Invitational in sixth place. The Lakers trailed leader Ferris State by 13 strokes, but are only seven strokes out of second place. Ward and Kucher trail leader Alex Balog of Ferris State by three strokes. Mike Gietzen (43-37--80) and Geoff Arnoldy (40-40--80) are tied for 55th place to round out the Lakers' top four positions. |
