ROMULUS - Lake Superior State's Mike Gietzen fired a 1-over 73 to tie for fifth place at the Motor City Invitational held Friday at the Gateway Golf Club. Brad Ward tied for 11th with a 77, while Pete Bearaman tied for 27th with an 85 and Vince Speziale was 32nd with a 90.

Northwood won the team title with a 286. The Timberwolves' Dane Yarnell took medalist honors with a 4-under 68.
