BOLIVAR, Mo. - Lake Superior State junior Brad Ward fired a 36-38-74 on the first day of the three-day NCAA Super Regional, which began Monday at Silo Ridge Country Club.

Ward is tied for eighth place in the Great Lakes Region at 2-over. Gannon's Dave Patronik, and Ferris States Tyler Averdick and Chris Griffin are tied for the lead at 1-under. Ferris State holds a one-shot lead over Findlay in the team event.
