BAY CITY - Lake Superior State junior golfer Brad Ward, an NCAA super regional top-10 finisher, was named to the All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Second Team.

Ward was ranked ninth in the GLIAC in stroke average at 74.9. His average is based on his 10 best rounds in league play. Ward posted an overall stroke average of 75.25, including a season-low 68 at the NCAA Great Lakes Spring Qualifier in Auburn, Ind.

Findlay's Kyle Weisenburger (71.7) was the GLIAC's Athlete of the Year in men's golf. The first team also included Northwood's Justin Holyszko and Mike Wenglikowski, Grand Valley's Kevin Kremer, Gannon's Dave Patronik (freshman of the year) and Ferris State's Mitch Flemming.

The second team also included Northwood's Dane Yarnell, Grand Valley's Bill Schmidt and Casey Smits, Wayne State's Jacob Abramson and Saginaw Valley's Dave Niewadomski.
