ISHPEMING - Lake Superior State senior golfer Brad Ward carded a 74 on Friday at Bay Mills to finish fourth in the Lake State Invitational, then posted a 73-77-150 at Wawonowin Country Club to tie for fourth at the NMU Invitational held Saturday and Sunday.

LSSU totaled 326 strokes to finish fifth among five teams in its own tournament. Wayne State won the team title with 307 strokes, and the Warriors' Ryan Johnson took medalist honors with a 71.

Grand Valley won the NMU Invitational with a two-day total of 604, while LSSU was fifth among six teams at 629. GVSU's Kyle Murphy won a five-hole playoff to beat teammate Kevin Kremer for the individual title. Both golfers fired a 75-72-147.
