BAY MILLS - Mike Gietzen carded a 40-38--78 to tie for seventh place and shoot the low score for the Lake Superior State men's golf team during the season-opening LSSU Invitational held Friday at Bay Mills Golf Course.

Findlay's David Morgan and Wayne State's Jacob Abramson both finished at even par, but Morgan won the playoff to claim medalist honors. WSU won the team title with 311 strokes, followed by Findlay (317), Northern Michigan (318), Hillsdale (324) and LSSU (335).
