BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - Lake Superior State's Brad Ward shot a 73-73-146 and teammate Frank Kucher fired a 75-71-146 and tied Oakland's Jonathon Pauli for 10th place and lead the Lakers to a fifth-place tie at the 12-team Bulldog Men's Fall Invitational held Friday and Saturday at Katke Golf Club.

Oakland's Brian Stuard took medalist honors with a 69-68-137. OU also won the team title with 579 points, while LSSU finished 31 strokes behind.

LSSU's Mike Gietzen (79-79-158) tied for 52nd, while Geoff Arnoldy (78-82-160) tied for 56th and Jason Solgat (80-89-169) tied for 69th.

The Lakers are competing in a 36-hole tournament at Grand Valley State today.
