ALLENDALE - Lake Superior State senior Brad Ward fired a 74-71-145 to place second behind Grand Valley's Kevin Kremer at the 36-hole GVSU Fall Invitational held Sunday at The Meadows.

Ward was 2-over after the first 18 holes and 1-under after his second round.

Kremer turned in a par 74-70-144 to take medalist honors. LSSU's Frank Kucher (76-73-149) tied for fifth as the Lakers finished 10th in the 12-team tournament. Grand Valley won the team title.

Also placing for LSSU were Mike Gietzen (80-91-171), who tied for 64th, Geoff Arnoldy (81-91-172), who tied for 66th, and Jason Solgat (91-85-176), who tied for 68th.
