BIG RAPIDS - Lake Superior State began a busy weekend by placing 11th among 12 teams at the Bulldog Invitational held Friday at Katke Golf Club. The Lakers will finish the weekend with another 36 holes at the Grand Valley State Invitational.

Frank Kucher tied for 32nd with a 73-82-155, while Ryan Gnatkowski tied for 40th with a 78-79-157. Jon Clarke (86-74-160) tied for 48th, Mike Gietzen (82-81-163) tied for 61st and Geoff Arnoldy (77-91-168) was 70th.

Northwood's Justin Holyszko (70-71-141) won a sudden-death playoff to take medalist honors. Ferris State captured the team title.
