COLDWATER, Mich. - Lake Superior State senior Brad Ward shot a 3-over-par 75 Sunday to land in ninth place after the first round of the Great Lakes Fall Regional at Blackberry Patch Golf Course.

Ward trails the leader, Findlay's David Morgan, by six strokes, but is only three strokes out of the top three.

Findlay's Mitch Blackburn and Saginaw Valley's Ryan Waier are even par and tied for second place.
