ERIE, Pa. - Brad Ward maintained his 14th-place position, while Frank Kucher dropped from a tie for 10th to a tie for 19th during the final 18 holes of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Golf Championship held Tuesday at Lake Shore Country Club.

Ward shot a 75 during the final round for a final total of 76-75-75-226. Kucher posted a 75-75-77-227. The first two rounds were played Monday.

LSSU finished ninth in the team standings with 931 strokes. Wayne State edged Ferris State in a playoff to claim the team title. The Warriors and Bulldogs both had 884 strokes through three rounds. Grand Valley's Kevin Kremer took medalist honors with a 73-73-68-214.

LSSU's Mike Gietzen (75-78-80-233) tied for 33rd place, while Geoff Arnoldy (86-81-82-249) was 56th and Jason Solgat (82-84-87-253) was 60th.
