LSSU students attending CCHA Playoff games have a chance to win Florida trip

Feb. 28, 2007

SAULT STE. MARIE - One lucky and skillful Lake Superior State student who attends this weekend's Central Collegiate Hockey Association Playoffs will win a trip for two to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., for spring break.

Yes FM is facilitating this contest for which any LSSU student is eligible. During Friday's and Saturday's hockey games against Ferris State, students can register for the contest at the Chuck-a-Puck table. Students must sign up during the first seven minutes of the first period.

During first intermission of both games, three randomly-chosen students will be picked to participate in a shooting contest. The first shooters to score a goal during the qualifying round will advance to the final shootout, which will be held at the conclusion of Saturday's game.

The grand prize package includes a one-night stay at the Howard Johnson's in Romulus, a $50 gas card, air fare and a three-night stay in Ft. Lauderdale. The runner-up will receive two "Study Week" passes for Searchmont Resort.

Sponsors of the contest include Today's Hits 99.5 Yes FM, Old Mission Bank, Bordertown Chiropractic, Law Offices of Charles Palmer, Tuxedo World, Searchmont and Superior Travel.

The Lakers and Bulldogs will play at 7:35 p.m. Friday and 7:05 p.m. Saturday at Taffy Abel Arena. Sunday's if-necessary game is also slated for 7:05 p.m.
