Jakaitis is named to CoSIDA All-District Second Team in At-Large Division

SAULT STE. MARIE - Lake Superior State senior goaltender Jeff Jakaitis was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District IV Second Team in the Men's University At-Large Division.

The award is part of the ESPN The Magazine All-Academic Program and coordinated by the College Sports Information Directors of America. The University At-Large Division includes Division I women's bowling, women's crew, men's and women's fencing, women's field hockey, men's and women's golf, men's and women's gymnastics, men's and women's ice hockey, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's rifle, men's and women's skiing, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's tennis, men's volleyball, men's and women's water polo and men's wrestling.

Jakaitis, who graduated from LSSU with a 3.47 grade point average in business, is a three-time Central Collegiate Hockey Association Scholar-Athlete and earned All-CCHA Second Team honors in 2006-07. He was LSSU's first four-time team most-valuable player and set nine Laker goaltending records.
