Laker goaltender Jeff Jakaitis earns CCHA Preseason All-Conference honorable mention

FARMINGTON HILLS-- Lake Superior State goaltender Jeff Jakaitis was the only Laker mentioned in the preseason Central Collegiate Hockey Association All-Conference Team poll. Jakaitis earned three first team votes securing him a spot in the honorable mention category. Seven schools are represented in the poll that was released today during the CCHA Media Day leading into the 2005-06 season.

Thirty-six ballots were handed out in the selection of the Preseason Team. All 12 head coaches, one print and one broadcast journalist from each of the 12 CCHA member schools participated in the voting along with another four media members representing national television, newspaper, and web outlets.
