Laker hockey fans have a chance to win Cancun trip

Enter to win a Cancun trip

Nov. 16, 2007

SAULT STE. MARIE - Laker hockey fans who purchase a Game Day Program during home games at Taffy Abel Arena this season have a chance to win a trip for two adults to Cancun.

Entry forms are available in game programs, which can be purchased for $1 from any Lake Superior State softball player. A few entry forms will also be dropped from the Lambros Blimp during the game. Entries must be delivered in person to Superior Passageways Travel at 808 Ashmun Street in Sault Ste. Marie.

Contestants must be at least 21 years old. The drawing will be held during the Lakers' last regular-season home game on Feb. 28.

The trip includes a three-night stay for two adults at the five-star Riu Cancun, round-trip airfare and round-trip transfers. The all-inclusive resort provides 24-hour drinks, snacks, meals, nightly entertainment, non-motorized watersports, theme shows, disco, gym, sauna, jacuzzi and three pools. The winner and companion must have passports, but no other expenses are required. The prize offer is good until Dec. 15, 2008.

The Cancun give-away is one of several Laker Hockey promotions throughout the 2007-08 season. Others include the Sadler-Rodenroth Radio Control Car Race, Ganzhorn Shoot for Loot, Greater Peninsula Orthopedics Chuck-a-Puck, Campus Shoppe $500 Shootout, Soo Collision Smuck-a-Truck, Hungry Howies Pizza Give-Away to the Loudest Row, RC's Pro Shop Trivia Question, Cup of the Day First Puck out of Play, Co-ed Flowers in Your Lap and $50 at 50 Minutes. As a special event on Saturday, Neville's and Dondee Lanes are sponsoring Turkey Bowling.

Join the fun as the Lakers take on No. 1 Michigan at 7:05 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Taffy Abel Arena.
