SAULT STE. MARIE - Former Lake Superior State hockey player Bates Battaglia is pictured on the cover of a November issue of Forbes Magazine.

Battaglia, who played at LSSU from 1994-97, is an 11-year professional hockey veteran who has played for the Toronto Maple Leafs the last two seasons. He was named to the Central Collegiate Hockey Association All-Tournament Team in 1995 and was named the CCHA's Best Defensive Forward in 1996.
