SAULT STE MARIE - Lake State's Celina Grondin is ranked fifth overall in singles play in the fall FILA Collegiate Tennis Rankings for the Great Lakes Region. Her singles record stands at 12-3 through the fall season.

Grondin, who was named to the All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference First Team, moved from 43rd nationally in 2005-06 to 38th during the 2006 fall season.

Lindsay Adams paired up with Grondin for 10th in the doubles ranking with an 8-7 record.

The Lakers' women's and men's team were ranked sixth and seventh, respectively, in the region. The men's season will begin in February 2007. The LSSU women are 7-6 heading into an abbreviated spring season.
