Named the GLIAC's Freshman of the Year in 2007, Dunford led the Lakers at the plate with 30 hits, a .280 average and eight home runs, which ranked sixth in the conference. She batted .340 in conference play. She was a four-year starting catcher with a .423 batting average and .563 on-base percentage for L'Anse Creuse North High School. She received All-Macomb Area Conference White Division, MAC All-Academic and Division 1 all-state honors as a prep athlete. She is the daughter of Paul and Mary Dunford. Major: athletic training
