March 7, 2007 KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Lake Superior State softball team lost 11-3 to Central Missouri State and 6-3 to Kentucky Wesleyan at the Rebel Spring Games on Tuesday. Nikki Christensen had two hits, and Rachel Hall, April Brandt, Nichole Dunford and Carrie Thompson added one hit each against CMSU (6-6). Thompson's hit was a two-run double in the first inning. Stephanie Reveley took the loss, allowing eight runs on seven hits, one walk and one strikeout. Christensen relieved Reveley in the fourth inning and allowed three runs on three hits, one walk and three strikeouts. Helena Zandarski, Brandt, Lisa Dahm and Lacey Knoop had one hit each in LSSU's loss to Kentucky Wesleyan (5-5). Zandarski suffered the loss, giving up five runs on six hits and one strikeout in 1 1/3 innings. Dahm finished the game and totaled one run on three hits, five strikeouts and two walks. The Lakers (2-6) play a double-header at Rollins College beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday. |
