KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Junior second baseman Rachel Hall went 3-for-7 for the day to lead the Lake Superior State softball team, which lost 3-0 to St. Joseph's and 5-2 to Wilmington on Thursday at the Rebel Spring Games. Hall was 2-for-3, and April Brandt, Amber Kern and Claire Ostrowski added one hit each against St. Joe. The Pumas totaled seven hits, and both teams had one error. Nikki Christensen totaled six strikeouts and three walks in taking the loss. LSSU's Katie Brandt had a two-run triple and a double against Wilmington, while Hall, Lacey Knoop, Nichole Dunford, Jennie Elliott and Chevie Peralta-Everts all singled. Wilmington, which out-hit LSSU 10-7, scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 2-2 tie. Starter Stephanie Reveley pitched 5 1/3 innings and took the loss. She gave up four earned runs on five walks and two strikeouts. She was relieved by Ostrowski in the sixth. Ostrowski had one strikeout and one walk. LSSU (3-9) plays Bellarmine at 1 p.m. and LeMoyne at 5 p.m. today. |
