SAULT SAINTE MARIE - Lake Superior State's softball team falls to 5-20 overall and 0-5 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play. Ferris State improved their record to 14-9 overall, and 2-2 in the GLIAC as they won both games 5-0 and 14-0.

Nichole Dunford combined to go 3-4 with a walk over both games of the doubleheader. Nikki Christensen shouldered the load on the mound for the Lakers, pitching 10.1 innings and allowing one earned run.

Lisa Dahm earned the decision in the first game after allowing five earned runs in the third. Stephanie Reveley took the loss in the second game without surrendering an earned run in Ferris State's big first inning.

The Lakers will be in action again on Thursday, as they travel to Findlay to take on the Oilers starting at 1:00 pm.
