TIFFIN, Ohio - Tiffin University handed the Lake Superior State softball team back-to-back 8-0 losses in non-conference action on Saturday.

Junior center fielder Audrey Hewitt was 4-for-5 at the plate, including 3-for-3 in the nightcap, to once again lead the Lakers (6-17 overall).

Sara Demmer, Chelsea Rhadigan and Ashley Hughes also had hits in the first game for LSSU. Tiffin out-hit the Lakers, 11-4, in both contests.

Demmer had the Lakers' only hit in Game 2.

Hughes was the starter in the opener and took the loss. Hughes, Stephanie Reveley and Cherish Samuels combined to total four walks and two strikeouts.

The same threesome had two walks and four strikeouts in the second game. Reveley was the starter and suffered the loss.

The Lakers resume conference play at Ashland on Sunday.
