LAKE CANE, Fla. - The Lake Superior State women's tennis team defeated Martin Methodist 6-3 on Wednesday night and lost 6-3 to North Dakota on Thursday morning. The Lakers close out their spring break trip with a make-up match Friday morning against St. Cloud State. Senior Megan LaMothe improved to 4-2 at No. 1 singles, increasing her career win total to 52-24. LSSU's all-time leader in singles victories has a career win percentage of .684 and she is gunning for the program's school record of .690. She has three singles matches remaining on the spring schedule. Sophomore Weronika Lomacka won both of her No. 2 singles matches, including a hard-fought three-set victory over North Dakota. She claimed a 10-7 win in the tie-breaker.
