Sept. 16, 2006 MIDLAND - Mercyhurst's Jennifer Daly posted a 1-0 tie-breaker victory Saturday to eliminate Lake Superior State's Celina Grondin in the third round of the Wilson-ITA Great Lakes Women's Division II Regional Championship. Daly, who was seeded 15th, defeated No. 4 seed Grondin, 6-3, 2-6, 1-0. She was then eliminated in the quarterfinals by Drury's Mouna Sabri, who was seeded seventh, 6-3, 6-0. In addition to Sabri, the remaining semifinalists are No. 1 Amal Basha of Ferris State, No. 2 Alejandra Miranda-Sanchez of Drury and No. 3 Lindsey Fischer of Indianapolis. |
