SAULT STE. MARIE - Grand Valley State overcame a 3-0 deficit after the doubles round and defeated the Lake Superior State women's tennis team 5-4 on Saturday at the Arbuckle Student Activity Center.

LSSU's only singles win was 6-2, 6-3 by Celina Grondin in the No. 1 spot.

The Lakers dropped to 3-2 overall and 3-2 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. GVSU improved to 4-1 overall and in GLIAC play.
