SAULT STE. MARIE - Lake Superior State and Saginaw Valley State split, 3-3, in singles play, but SVSU took the team decision, 6-3, during a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's tennis match Friday at the Arbuckle Student Activity Center. LSSU posted victories at Nos. 1, 2 and 5 singles. LSSU senior Megan LaMothe improved to 6-3 at No. 1 singles by blanking Katie Hanover, 6-0, 6-0. The Lakers play host to undefeated Northwood at 10 a.m. Saturday during their final regular-season match.
