UNIVERSITY CENTER - The Lake Superior State women's tennis team returned from a two-week break to defeat Saginaw Valley State 7-2 in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match on Friday.

The Lakers, who travel to Northwood on Saturday, improved to 6-3 overall and 5-3 in league play. SVSU dropped to 3-6 overall and 2-6 in the conference.
