Former LSSU distance runner Scott Hosie is in his first season as the Lakers' assistant volleyball coach and will serve as the team's strength and conditioning coach.

Hosie, who earned a B.S. in exercise science from LSSU in the spring of 2007, is a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic honoree. He placed 16th in the men's 5,000-meter run at the 2007 GLIAC Outdoor Championships and 44th at the 2006 GLIAC Cross Country Championships.

While an undergrade, Hosie was active in various campus activities, including the Student-Athlete Advisroy Committee.
