DULUTH, Minn. - Fourth-ranked Minnesota-Duluth defeated the Lake Superior State volleyball team, 30-23, 30-20, 30-15, during the UMD Classic on Friday. Sara Hess totaled 10 kills and posted a .320 attack percentage to lead the Lakers (3-7). Jamie Groos added nine kills and had a .333 attack rate. Setter Erin McLain chipped in 29 assists and nine digs, and libero Jessica Ewer had nine digs. UMD improved to 9-1. LSSU concludes play at the UMD Classic with a match against North Dakota at 10 a.m. EST on Saturday. |
