HILLSDALE - Eleventh-ranked Hillsdale swept the Lake Superior State volleyball team, 30-18, 30-16, 30-20, in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match Saturday. The Chargers, one of the league's three nationally-ranked teams, improved to 19-4 overall and 10-0 in the GLIAC. LSSU, which travels to Wayne State on Sunday, fell to 6-13 overall and 2-6 in the GLIAC. Hillsdale held LSSU to a .044 attack percentage. Jamie Groos totaled nine kills to lead the Lakers, while Sara Hess had eight. Setter Erin McLain finished with 26 assists, and libero Jessica Ewer had 14 digs. The match was the first of four-straight on the road for LSSU. |
