FINDLAY, Ohio - Findlay blanked the Lake Superior State volleyball team, 30-25, 30-18, 30-16, in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match Friday. The Lakers dropped to 6-15 overall and 2-8 in the GLIAC, while Findlay improved to 15-9 overall and 4-6 in league play. Senior Jamie Groos led LSSU with 10 kills. She had only one attacking error and an impressive .310 attack percentage. The Lakers struggled as a team, however, and had a .047 attack rate for the night. Sara Hess added eight kills, while Jessica Ewer moved from libero to outside hitter and had six kills. Setters Erin McLain and Ashley Purvis combined to total 22 assists. Ewer also led in digs with 13. Findlay totaled 48 kills and held LSSU to 30. The Lakers play at Ashland on Saturday. |
