ALLENDALE - Lake Superior State fell to sixth-ranked Grand Valley State, 30-14, 30-21, 30-26, in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference volleyball match Thursday night.

Ashley Wyers led the Lakers in kills with 12 and had an attack percentage of .258. Ali Jones contributed four kills while Sara Hess and Jamie Groos added three each. Liz Holden had 11 digs for Lake State (5-19 overall, 2-13 in the GLIAC).

Grand Valley's Meghan Moore totaled 17 kills during the contest. GVSU improved to 21-2 overall, 14-1 GLIAC.

LSSU travels to Ferris State on Friday.
